What is the best side of Iguazu Falls?

There is no really a best side of Iguazu Falls hence one side complements the other. Most of the falls are, geographically speaking, in Argentina - around 75% - so the most panoramic views are from Brazil. So if one sees more from Brazil ones feels more from Argentina since You get much closer to the falls.

What is the best way to see Iguazu Falls?

Basically there are three different ways to enjoy Iguazu Falls, as follow:

Hiking: Both National Parks have decent walkways with facilities around. Brazilian side has one path which is around one mile long, not physically challenging and at the end a handy elevator so there is no walking upstairs one You are done with it. Argentine side has three paths - Devil's Throat 1.7 miles + Upper Path 1.5 miles + Lower Path 2 miles - One should pay attention to the Lower Path hence it's the longest one with a lot of steps, around one hundred.

Boat Rides: The Macuco Boat Ride is in Brazil and the Great Adventure Boat Ride in Argentina, both are very similar experiences while in the boat, it is a very wet and fun experience. What does make a difference it's the access to the docks in which one boards in the boat. Macuco has no walking down/up whatsoever, Great Adventure has and it's a lot, it's physically challenging and the company has a lot of restrictions as well.

Helicopter flights: The Helisul does a wonderful 360 degrees panoramic flight over Iguazu Falls, no need reservations on this tour, departure organized accordantly to arrival. Helicopters with four (04) and seven (07) seats. The minimum quore for flights is three (03) so if You are a couple You may have to wait a little for more people to join the flight.

What is the best time to visit Iguazu Falls?

It all depends on your main concern, if the main criteria is volume of water there is no best time at all hence 70% of the source of water in Iguazu Falls is rainfall and there is no dry season around Iguazu, it rains all year around.

On the other hand, if the main criteria is the hit, You may wonder about in between April and September, the most easygoing temperatures in Iguazu. Also this is the low season around Iguazu, not too crowded.

But a lot of visitors are escaping away from below zero temperatures as well snow and their own winter time, which is right when is the hottest in Brazil. The hottest months are second half of December, January, February and fist half of March. Also the high season.

If one could skip one particular time or season in Iguazu it is the Holy Week - Easter - or the weekend after the Good Friday. For 2020 it will be from April the 5th to Saturday the 11th. It is a turn over point as the end of the high season and beginning of the low season. During this time of the year both National Parks can get up to 12 thousand people per day throughout their trails.

So, there is no really best time to enjoy Iguazu Falls but definitely a worst one!

Do I get wet at Iguazu Falls?

By the end of the walk at the Brazilian Side, which is the closest spot to Iguazu from Brazil, there is a gentle spray that in summer days is very welcome and refreshing, nothing to worry about. Around the Devil's Throat at the Argentine Side, also a spray which comes back n’ forth but not sucking wet.

Only if You do the Boat Rides - described above - You will get a real shower.

Can I use US Dollars or Euros around Iguazu Falls?

Yeah, in all over Iguazu these two international currencies are welcome, the only exception is at the Entrance of the Argentine National Park which not even credit card is accepted, only cash and national currency, Argentine Pesos.
